Sporting Clay Tournament Success
The first NCS Sporting Clay Tournament at the Nashville Gun Club was a huge success! This event was a fundraiser for a new track and field training area on campus. This project design includes seven lanes at 50 meters long and an area for shot, discus, high jump, long jump and pole vault. Thanks to the support of all who participated in and sponsored the tournament, we raised more than $8,000!
There were 75 shooters who competed, with the winning team being Brassfield & Gorrie (Dan Martin, Clay Bright, Clay Bright IV, and Mark Martin). The winning score was 214! Our top individual shooter was Chad Williams who shot 49 out of 50 targets!
After a great morning of shooting, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Martin’s Bar-B-Que. Special thanks to our Title Sponsor, Enterprise Solutions and the Nashville Gun Club. Their facility and staff were excellent. Other sponsors who supported this event were:
Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, BSN, Fox Channel 17, Friedman’s Army Supply, Gateway Tires, J. Alexander’s, Jessup Eye Care, Legend’s Bank, Martin’s Bar-B-Que, Maryland Farms Family Dentistry, Nashville Tent, Publix, PWC, Royal Range, SIG.org, Siteworks LLC, Sonic, Southbound Outfitters, Sports Clips, Sportsman Bar & Grill, Stonetree Mulch, Temple Hills Golf Club, William Yon Agency, and Zaxby’s.
And of course, we couldn’t do it without our volunteers. Thanks to Kim Bowker, Leah Bowker, Tony Marlin, Olivia Marlin, Bubba Norris , Brie Pritchard, and Michael Travis for all of their hard work to make this day happen. We hope you will make plans to join us next year!
