Welcome to Nashville Christian Preschool!
As the Director of NCS Preschool, the mother of a high school student, and the spouse of Luke Mahlstadt, a member of our security team, our family is deeply rooted in the NCS community. We are 'all in' at NCS, and I am so excited to share our preschool program with you.
At Nashville Christian Preschool, our mission is to nurture the hearts and minds of young children, guiding them toward lives of discipleship, learning, and service. We welcome children from six weeks old through pre-kindergarten, providing a Christ-centered and engaging environment where curiosity flourishes. Here, children develop a love for learning and a deep and lasting love for Jesus that extends beyond the classroom.
Our approach focuses on the holistic development of each child—spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. We foster meaningful social connections, literacy, and early mathematical skills through thoughtfully designed, developmentally appropriate practices. Research consistently highlights the importance of play and exploration in early childhood education, showing that children learn best when they are active participants in their own learning journeys.
At NCS Preschool, we encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and calculated risk-taking. Our students are supported as they embrace challenges and learn from successes and setbacks. Educators create developmentally appropriate experiences in our classrooms that nurture each child's body, mind, and spirit. Through hands-on activities, investigation, and exploration, our teachers guide students to ask questions, create solutions, and develop problem-solving skills.
NCS Preschool is a special place where children build a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning in a socially and academically enriching environment. Our preschool experience prepares students to transition seamlessly into our Lower School and beyond.
