Launching A Legacy

The Launching a Legacy Campaign: Transitioning from Phase One to Phase Two

We are excited to announce that the Launching a Legacy Capital Campaign has officially launched, and we are nearing the completion of Phase One. As we move forward into Phase Two, we are also embarking on several special projects that are integrated into the campaign, further enhancing our school’s growth and future.

Phase One has brought significant advancements, including the completion of the NCS Event Center and the Student Success Center, spaces that are already being used for student learning, athletic events, and community gatherings. With these milestones accomplished, we are now ready to transition to Phase Two, which includes the renovation of the Gibson Gym and other exciting developments that will expand our classrooms and student capacity.

This next phase marks a pivotal step in the campaign, as we continue our efforts to create a lasting impact on Nashville Christian School’s future. The Launching a Legacy Campaign is not just about constructing buildings—it’s about building a legacy for generations to come, ensuring that our students continue to thrive in an environment that supports their academic, athletic, and personal growth.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Together, we are shaping the future of NCS!

Phase 1: The Campbell Family Event Center

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Campbell Family Event Center at Nashville Christian School—a transformative space made possible by the generous support of our donors. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a dynamic hub for our students, seamlessly connecting the Upper School, Lower School, and Gibson Gymnasium. It stands as a testament to the vision and commitment of our community to providing exceptional learning and growth opportunities for our students.

From the early stages of construction, to its completion, the Event Center has been a focal point of excitement and anticipation. Now, students are actively utilizing the space for a variety of activities, enhancing their educational experience and fostering a sense of unity across grade levels.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the Launching a Legacy campaign. Your support has not only brought this vision to life but has also laid the foundation for future generations of Eagles. Together, we are building a legacy that will inspire and equip students for years to come.

Phase 2: Gibson Renovation

The Gibson Building is a central part of the Nashville Christian campus. Built in 1986, it was named in honor of a founder and longtime board member, Andrew B. Gibson. It originally housed the practice gymnasium and classrooms for the seventh and eighth grades.

It is our hope to continue Gibson's legacy by renovating the locker rooms, creating a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and strength equipment to be used by athletic teams and middle and upper school physical education classes, and providing a flexible athletic space where our wrestling program will compete, and lower school PE classes will be offered. The second floor of the Gibson will be expanded to include dynamic space for 11 academic classrooms and new restrooms.

This is a unique moment in Nashville Christian School's history— a time that has been years in the making.  The capital campaign projects will build a legacy for our children, our community and future generations of students.  Support of the annual fund is necessary to maintain the wonderful programs and projects for today’s needs.  Think of it this way: tuition keeps an institution running, philanthropy transforms it. We highly encourage you to continue your support of the Annual Fund while investing in the schools' future through the capital campaign.

Absolutely!  We encourage you to be creative in your giving.  NCS is set up to receive commitments and contributions through donor-advised funds (DAF), the gift of appreciated stock, personal property or real estate, gift annuities, or planned giving.  Please consult with a professional advisor for advice in your particular circumstance.  If you need assistance with making a gift we would be more than happy to help!

Even in tough times, God wants our hearts and our willingness to follow His calling.  In Luke 21 we read about the poor widow who gave two mites.  Jesus had seen the wealthy bringing their gifts into the treasury, but He was inspired by this widow's sacrificial giving saying, "Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had."  This capital campaign is a spiritual initiative inviting us all to grow closer to God by sacrificing, giving generously, and trusting Him to do the rest.  Through prayer, we encourage you to boldly commit to all that God is doing at Nashville Christian School. Every gift matters. Our primary goal is that we do this TOGETHER.
