The Launching a Legacy Campaign: Transitioning from Phase One to Phase Two
We are excited to announce that the Launching a Legacy Capital Campaign has officially launched, and we are nearing the completion of Phase One. As we move forward into Phase Two, we are also embarking on several special projects that are integrated into the campaign, further enhancing our school’s growth and future.
Phase One has brought significant advancements, including the completion of the NCS Event Center and the Student Success Center, spaces that are already being used for student learning, athletic events, and community gatherings. With these milestones accomplished, we are now ready to transition to Phase Two, which includes the renovation of the Gibson Gym and other exciting developments that will expand our classrooms and student capacity.
This next phase marks a pivotal step in the campaign, as we continue our efforts to create a lasting impact on Nashville Christian School’s future. The Launching a Legacy Campaign is not just about constructing buildings—it’s about building a legacy for generations to come, ensuring that our students continue to thrive in an environment that supports their academic, athletic, and personal growth.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Together, we are shaping the future of NCS!
Phase 1: The Campbell Family Event Center

We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Campbell Family Event Center at Nashville Christian School—a transformative space made possible by the generous support of our donors. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a dynamic hub for our students, seamlessly connecting the Upper School, Lower School, and Gibson Gymnasium. It stands as a testament to the vision and commitment of our community to providing exceptional learning and growth opportunities for our students.
From the early stages of construction, to its completion, the Event Center has been a focal point of excitement and anticipation. Now, students are actively utilizing the space for a variety of activities, enhancing their educational experience and fostering a sense of unity across grade levels.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the Launching a Legacy campaign. Your support has not only brought this vision to life but has also laid the foundation for future generations of Eagles. Together, we are building a legacy that will inspire and equip students for years to come.
Phase 2: Gibson Renovation

The Gibson Building is a central part of the Nashville Christian campus. Built in 1986, it was named in honor of a founder and longtime board member, Andrew B. Gibson. It originally housed the practice gymnasium and classrooms for the seventh and eighth grades.
It is our hope to continue Gibson's legacy by renovating the locker rooms, creating a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardio and strength equipment to be used by athletic teams and middle and upper school physical education classes, and providing a flexible athletic space where our wrestling program will compete, and lower school PE classes will be offered. The second floor of the Gibson will be expanded to include dynamic space for 11 academic classrooms and new restrooms.
Athletic Complex Upgrades
We are excited to share that several athletic facility improvements at Nashville Christian School are fully funded and currently underway, an important milestone in our Launching a Legacy campaign.
Our softball complex is receiving a significant expansion and refresh, including updated dugout and locker room spaces. Nearby restrooms and concession areas are also being enlarged to better serve our athletes, families, and guests on game days.
We have also begun major repairs and upgrades to the NCS baseball field. Over time, persistent drainage issues created potential safety concerns. As we started exploring solutions and pricing for regrading the field, a generous anonymous donor stepped forward with a vision to ensure the project was done at the highest level. As a result, this fully funded improvement will feature a new artificial turf infield, creating a safer and more durable playing surface for years to come.
Our contractor for this project is Warner Construction, one of the most sought-after turf installation companies in the state. In addition to the baseball infield, Warner will also be replacing the turf in our indoor athletic facility, ensuring it is properly installed and optimized to meet the needs of our students and programs.
Head Baseball Coach Mark Rayburn shared, “I am very excited to have a safe playing surface that will serve our baseball players from 5th grade through 12th grade. This project allows us to develop our players more efficiently, even in poor weather conditions. I am extremely grateful for the donors who made this possible and for the many hands that helped prepare the field prior to turf installation.”
Looking ahead, future phases of Launching a Legacy include the resurfacing of both the football and soccer fields. These planned upgrades will further enhance safety, playability, and the overall experience for athletes, families, and fans across our campus.+
