Service Projects

Service projects are an important part of the spiritual formation of our students and faculty and exemplify our school's mission:  to demonstrate Christ's love. Some of our annual service projects are:

Kathy Overbay Service Day

Each spring, the NCS community participates in a special day of service to honor Kathy Overbay and her faithful life of over 42 years of prayer and service at Nashville Christian. All administrators, faculty, staff, and K-12 students serve across the Nashville area. Areas of service include:

  • cleaning the yards and homes of individuals who are financially and/or physically burdened
  • assisting multiple local non-profit organizations that depend on volunteers and in kind services
  • visiting, encouraging, and entertaining those who are physically handicapped and/or advanced in years
  • beautifying local parks, public amenities, and our very own NCS campus

The Angel Tree Project Stocking Drive

Each year, middle schoolers at Nashville Christian School collect stocking stuffers for children ages 2 - 12 to donate to those in need through The Ark in Pegram, TN. They then stuff the items in stockings and deliver them just in time for Christmas!

Canned Food and Coin Drives

Each year, NCS students gather canned goods and deliver them to local food banks for the hungry in Nashville. Middle school students hold coin drives for their charities of choice.

Hoops For Hope Pink Out

This annual event takes place each basketball season. Money is raised to support NCS families who are struggling with breast cancer and those whose lives were cut short are remembered and honored.
