Lauren Brasel
Nashville Christian School's lower school program serves students from PreK3 through fourth grade. Our teachers are Christian, authentic, and dynamic, and they are deeply committed to knowing and supporting each student. During these formative years, students begin to discover their unique strengths and challenges, and it is our desire to partner closely with families as we guide them on their path to success.
Our vision at NCS is to help students realize and pursue their full potential - spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially - while developing a strong and personal relationship with God. Fostering that relationship happens both through intentional instructional time and in the meaningful, unplanned moments of prayer, reflection, and connection that occur throughout the day. Our teachers strive to cultivate thinkers by providing opportunities for academic exploration, movement, and engagement in a variety of learning experiences.
Just as important as academic growth is the development of social skills. These are strengthened daily through interactions both inside and outside the classroom. We intentionally create opportunities for students to grow in this area through physical education, recess, enrichment classes, clubs, and structured classroom activities that encourage collaboration and character development.
We believe the partnership between school and home is essential to a child's well- rounded education. Together, we are shaping the whole child, guiding students to become the young men and women God created them to be, and equipping them to live in a way that honors and glorifies Him.

About Mrs. Brasel
Mrs. Brasel is a graduate of Nashville Christian School and earned her degree in Education from Middle Tennessee State University. She began her career teaching in the Metro Nashville Public School System at Harpeth Valley and Gower Elementary, where she later earned her Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University.
Lauren is married to Mitch Brasel, and they have two daughters, Adelaide and Claire, who attend NCS.
"Since graduation, I have always thought about returning to NCS. I remember it being such a strong, family-centered environment, and I would love to be a part of that. After teaching in the public school system, I have seen firsthand the benefits of a Christian school education. My experience at NCS has meant so much to me, and I would love to help provide that same opportunity for others."
