The Senior Class of 2015 has chosen well.
The Senior Class of 2015 chose 1Timothy 4:12 for next school year’s spiritual theme. This was not a random selection; it is to serve as a reminder of who they are—and as a standard to hold themselves to throughout the year.
In this verse, Paul encourages and empowers Timothy to walk in faith, set an example, and not be hindered by his youth as a disciple and pastor.
This verse also serves as a reflection on the importance of Paul’s relationship with Timothy as a mentor. It challenges us all—teachers, administrators, and parents—to be intentional in equipping students for life by helping them realize and pursue their full potential—spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially—while learning to establish and grow their relationship with God.
Let no one despise you for your youth,
but set the believers an example in speech,
in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
