Where Students Dream, Believe and Do

High School Small Groups

Weekly Small Group Meetings in High School

The small group program is a faith-sharing experience between faculty and students outside the traditional classroom setting with academic pressures. This setting expands the students’ exposure to Christian mentors through spiritual dialogue and prayer, and also enriches and deepens student-teacher relationships.

The content for discussion includes teen-relevant topics and the application of Scripture to real life issues. For the first nine-week period we are focusing on our theme for the year from Psalm 23:4 - "Even in the darkest valley, I will fear no evil." The topics are: Worry, Busyness, Feelings, Indecisiveness, Valleys, and Fears.

For the remaining three nine-week segments, coaches and faculty will be fostering the discussion and sharing of their group on topics of relevance, such as: maturity, attitude, dating/relationships, alcohol, anger, dealing with an absent father, language, purpose, and work ethic. Experienced Christian teachers will lead the groups and facilitate the discussions with selected scripture, thought-provoking questions, and points of application.
