Warm Coats From Warm Hearts
Nashville Christian School collects winter coats (infant through adult sizes) and Bibles for the “Warm Coats from Warm Hearts”—an annual program that is sponsored by the Granny White Church of Christ's. Last year alone, over 6,000 coats and Bibles were given to those less fortunate in our area for the cold winter months. Uplifting-handwritten notes were placed in each pocket. Please bring new or mildly used coats and bibles to the NCS Lower School, classroom #119, by November 2. Thank you for helping NCS share God's love and warmth with others in Middle Tennessee. For more information about this heart warming service project please contact Mrs. Forehand email@example.com
Kathy Overbay Service Day
On Tuesday, May 6th, the NCS community will participate in its 3rd year of honoring Kathy Overbay, and her faithful life of over 42 years of prayer and service at Nashville Christian. All administrators, faculty, staff, and K-12 students will recognize her through serving the Nashville area all morning partnering with many nonprofit organizations that depend on volunteers, and through a special afternoon assembly. Click here to see how this all began and to watch a video of our students in action.
H20 for Life
NCS is partnering with H20 for Life to help a small secondary school in Kenya build life-sustaining wells and water facilities. Through the money collected by the NCS Go Green Team the students from Jonyo Secondary School--in Homa Bay, Kenya--will have access to clean drinking and bathing water. Students are raising funds and hopes now. Look for the blue H2O for Life Signs and Go Green Team students. They will be selling H20 t_shirts, Rice Krispy Treats, pencils, erasers, paper, and individual pencil sharpeners all this week. Contact: Martha Becker Email:firstname.lastname@example.org
Shiloh Missions / the Bronx in New York City
Nashville Christian School is taking the Good Fight to the poorest zip code in the nation---the Bronx in New York City. Seniors students along with faculty and staff leave for a weeklong mission trip to serve children-at-risk that live in an impoverished part of NYC. Our NYC Mission Team will reach out (and up) to the Shiloh Missions—a Christian not-for-profit ministry dedicated to equipping New York City impoverished children and their families with tools and resources that alter the paths of poverty and violence. Click here for more information about Shiloh Missions.
Middle and high school students and teachers help a NCS family that is struggling. Inspiration for this service project comes from Galatians 6:2 "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Contact: Brian Tipps Cell: 289-1373 Email: email@example.com

Hoops For Hope
This annual event supports those who have struggled or are struggling with breast cancer AND to honor those whose lives were shortened by this terrible disease. This year over $2800 was raised, in one evening, to help with the medical expenses of a dear friend, Gina Owens, wife of Eric Owens and to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
