Where Students Dream, Believe and Do

Local Missions and Service Projects

  • Nashville Christian School’s First Annual
    Day of Prayer & Service

On Thursday, May 3rd, our nation will intentionally stop to focus on prayer. This will be the 61st observance of the National Day of Prayer. “One Nation Under God” is the theme for this year. What better way to set the stage for the Nashville Christian School community to establish a new tradition for a day of service. On Thursday, May 3 we will begin the morning with a time of prayer and then go into the Nashville area to work with many nonprofit organizations that depend on volunteers. • H20 for Life
NCS is partnering with H20 for Life to help a small secondary school in Kenya build life-sustaining wells and water facilities. Through the money collected by the NCS Go Green Team the students from Jonyo Secondary School--in Homa Bay, Kenya--will have access to clean drinking and bathing water. Students are raising funds and hopes now. Look for the blue H2O for Life Signs and Go Green Team students. They will be selling H20 t_shirts, Rice Krispy Treats, pencils, erasers, paper, and individual pencil sharpeners all this week.

  • Project 62
Middle and high school students and teachers help a NCS family that is struggling. Inspiration for this service project comes from Galatians 6:2  "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

  • Hoops For Hope
This annual event supports those who have struggled or are struggling with breast cancer AND to honor those whose lives were shortened by this terrible disease. This year over $2800 was raised, in one evening, to help with the medical expenses of a dear friend, Gina Owens, wife of Eric Owens and to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

  • Warm Coats From Warm Hearts
Nashville Christian School collects winter coats (infant through adult sizes) and Bibles for the “Warm Coats from Warm Hearts”—an annual program that is sponsored by the Granny White Church of Christ's. Last year alone, over 6,000 coats and Bibles were given to those less fortunate in our area for the cold winter months. Uplifting-handwritten notes were placed in each pocket. Please bring new or mildly used coats and bibles to the NCS Lower School, classroom #117, by November 2. Thank you for helping NCS share God's love and warmth with others in Middle Tennessee. For more information about this heart warming service project please contact Mrs. Forehand forehandm@nashvillechristian.org
