Brian Bishop, Middle School Principal
Welcome to Nashville Christian's middle school, which includes grades 6-8. We are blessed with caring teachers who are dedicated to molding the lives of young adolescents. It is our goal to welcome young children from the world of elementary school and build young men and women who are ready and prepared for high school life. Leaving the world of elementary school is often an uncertain time of change and growth. Sometimes, the transition to high school can also be a time of uncertainty and stress. Our faculty tries to assist in making these transitions as easy as possible.
It is our prayer that we may watch your children mature academically, behaviorally and most importantly, spiritually. In academics, we offer core classes in math, science, language arts, and social studies as well as electives such as Art or Drama. As for behavior, we try to help students transition from a world of self-contained classrooms with only one teacher to a world of multiple rooms, teachers, and teaching styles. It takes time for students to adjust to this type of setting, but we believe it will truly prepare them for what they will face in high school. The spiritual aspect of a student is the most important aspect of all. It is for this reason that daily Bible classes and weekly chapel services are an integral part of school life. Students take part in gender specific Bible classes where they can really study the word of God as it relates to their own lives.
Our middle school faculty and staff are dedicated to ensuring that your child will receive a quality education in a safe and loving environment. We are continuously working to improve our curriculum and provide professional development opportunities to our staff. We have worked this summer to look at TCAP results and build into our curriculum strategies that will help our students grow. We believe that our students have great potential in all areas of academics and we are striving to help them reach that potential.
