NCS, senior students were given a mock crime scene and asked to develop an analysis describing what they think might have occurred. 

They were to treat the evidence as if they were the first detectives at the scene, make notes, render a rough sketch that will later be used as reference for a drawing to scale. 

The students measured all the evidence and included an object of reference. 

Lastly, they wrote a final report, presenting their rationale, based on the evidence gathered and chronicled.  Assignment directive: their analysis had to withstand cross examination.
