Nashville Christian Dining Services
Chef Joe

August 2011

My name is Chef Joe Indilisano. I would like to welcome students, parents, faculty, and staff to NCS Dining Services. I have 25 years of various food service management experiences ranging from restaurants, catering, healthcare, and school services. I have a passion for great food, and I believe in serving quality food from a clean and safe kitchen environment with good customer service and professionalism. My goal is to encourage students to choose balanced meals by offering a variety of menu choices. I will try to accommodate special diets and allergies if at all possible; so parents, please email or call me with your child’s requirements. indilisanoj@nashvillechristian.org

Monthly menus are posted on our website. Items on the menu are subject to change without notice.

Parents are welcome to join their children for breakfast. A grab and go breakfast menu is offered from 6:45am – 7:45am. Breakfast prices are à la carte.

NCS Dining will not be open on half days.

A Plate Lunch is offered each day and includes one entrée, two sides and a choice of either a small milk or bottled water.

For children in grades K-4:
The daily cost of a plate lunch is $3.25. Students will be limited to the plate lunch items.  Additional items such as chips, candy and ice cream will not be available for purchase Monday through Thursday. Students will be allowed to purchase these items on Fridays at their teacher’s discretion. Students will not be allowed to purchase carbonated beverages.

For children in grades 5-12:
The daily cost of a plate lunch is $4.00. This year we will offer a $5.00 plate lunch which will include 2 entrées, additional sides, and a choice of either a small milk or bottled water. Grab and go items will also be offered at these grade levels. They are à la carte and in addition to the prices listed above. Students in grades 5-8 will not be allowed to purchase carbonated beverages.  Students in grades 9-12 will only be able to purchase zero or sugar-free carbonated beverages. We will always offer milk, juices, and water for purchase.

We will again offer a debit card system to allow parents to load money on their family’s meal card account. The students will not have an actual card until after picture day in September. The student will show their card in the cafeteria, and their meal items will be scanned, deducting the cost of the meal from their account. Parents will be able to view their child’s usage, check the balance of their account, and monitor the menu items they purchased online through our RenWeb system. This program helps eliminate the need for students to carry cash to school.

If your lunch account goes into an overdraft position, an email is sent to you automatically from RenWeb through Darlete Bishop. Once your account reaches a negative balance of $25.00, your child will no longer be able to purchase any cafeteria items using the meal card.  Please make sure to add  HYPERLINK "mailto:bishopd@nashvillechristian.org" bishopd@nashvillechristian.org to your email address book to ensure you will receive the accounting notifications.

My team and I are so glad to part of Nashville Christian School, and we look forward to serving you in the coming school year.
