College Counseling
Janet King, College Counselor

College counseling at Nashville Christian School assists high school families in preparing for and applying to colleges.  This is a complex and exciting process that assists students in obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary to make important decisions about their futures and to help in setting goals to obtain that future.

College planning will begin in the freshman and sophomore years by developing an understanding of the process, discussing what colleges are looking for in an applicant, and developing an initial 4-year college readiness plan with appropriate course selection and extracurricular activities.

In the junior and senior years, students receive individual attention and guidance to help examine their unique qualities and identify colleges that are a "best fit" for the student. They will work on skills, knowledge, and developing a personalized plan to successfully navigate the steps to college - high school course preparation and completing applications.

Students are provided various resources including frequent visits from college representatives, college materials, Internet resources, college search programs, and standardized test preparation.

Please feel free to call me if you have any questions about college counseling.
