At Nashville Christian School, students, parents, faculty and staff are a family—a spiritual stronghold that guides students to make the right choices inside and outside the classroom. It's this commitment to our students that makes all the difference in what we strive to teach everyday in the halls, the classrooms, on the ball fields, and in every corner of our campus. Visit our campus and learn more about the Nashville Christian School experience.

Our Mission is to demonstrate Christ's love.

Our Vision is to help students pursue and realize their full potential—spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially—while learning to be secure in their relationship with God.

Spiritual Emphasis
Daily Bible classes, chapel, devotional time, prayer, and one-on-one interaction with faithful Christian leaders prepare our students for all aspects of life. Our ultimate goal is to help students realize and pursue their full potential—spiritually, intellectually, physically, and socially.

We work hard to provide a high-quality college preparatory education for our students. Qualified, committed teachers—combined with a safe, structured, and carefully managed learning environment— help to ensure that each student has the opportunity to succeed.

Our Elementary School (K-5) curriculum provides both academic structure and creative learning experiences.

  • Modern Curriculum Press Phonics - a basal reading series (that uses literature-based trade books) provides students with a variety of tools to become fluent and comprehensive readers

  • Elementary Drama Classes - incorporates Reader's Theatre activities to enhance reading fluency

  • Wordly Wise - an in-depth study of vocabulary and spelling (corresponds with state standards and national standardized achievement tests)

  • Hands on Math Program—through the Math in Focus Program which is based on the Singapore concept of teaching—incorporates mental math practice, problem solving activities, and reading for comprehension

  • Daily Bible class, weekly chapel, science, fine arts, social studies and technology instruction complete the K-5 curriculum

Our Middle School (6-8) curriculum challenges students in preparation
for high school.

  • Five core subjects - Students study English, math, literature, social studies, and science each year.

  • Science Labs - Teachers use interactive labs to teach concepts in science.

  • Middle School Electives - Students are exposed to drama, music, band, computers, art, Spanish, and study skills.

  • High school Algebra I, Latin I, and Spanish l - 8th grade students have the opportunity to participate in a high school level course based on demonstrated proficiency.

  • Athletics - Students can choose from 11 TSSAA sports to explore and further their athletic abilities.

  • Drama - A variety of productions showcase middle school creative talents.

  • Bible - Students are placed in boys' and girls' Bible classes where they develop in their walks as Christians.

Our High School (9-12) curriculum provides a challenging college preparatory path with multiple tracks to graduation.

  • Dual Enrollment - Students may earn college credit through Lipscomb University in English or speech.

  • AP - Calculus, Biology, American History, Physics, and Spanish students may earn college exemptions by passing an AP test in these subjects.

  • Science - Teachers provide hands-on learning opportunities in science classes such as physics and forensics.

  • Small Groups - Teachers and students explore personal relationships with God through fellowship, witnessing and study.

  • Bible - A structured study of the Bible is presented during the four years of high school ranging from the Old Testament to the life of Christ.

  • Art - Nashville Christian has built a first-class Art program where students regularly gain regional recognition.

  • Fine Arts - A quality stage experience, for the actors and the audience, is the focus of a fine arts program that includes a choral group, a rock band, and varied dramatic productions.

All courses are subject to change from semester to semester.

LIFE Program (Learning is for Everyone)

This program is designed to help children with mild to moderate learning differences reach their maximum potential academically, physically, socially, and spiritually. LIFE is available to students K-12 who have diagnosed learning disabilities or medical conditions requiring support services in the classroom setting. Our LIFE instructors partner with parents to determine and develop an individual educational plan that can range from a partial to a full schedule of LIFE classes. Provision of LIFE services is contingent upon student enrollment and teacher availability.

Enrichment Programs

Nashville Christian provides many opportunities to enrich the core curriculum.
